BDSM slavery discussion
a month agoTRIGGER WARNING:
Contains Sensitive Topic
Periodically, while talking about kink and my lifestyle, I have heard people say “slavery is bad and a term that shouldn’t be used” or they just avoid the topic.
To start, without a doubt, forced slavery and human trafficking is still alive and well throughout the world today and is a horrible crime against humanity itself.
However, the talking point I bring up is through the lens of BDSM ( bondage/discipline, dominance/submission, sadism/masochism ). There are many key differences between forced slavery and BDSM slavery. The most obvious, a BDSM slave lifestyle like mine is consensual. “I am of sound mind and body and I give my full consent to a Master to be used at his pleasure.” Personally, this isn’t just Roleplay for me, this is who I truly am, living my best life as a slave to a Master.
Going hand in hand with consent is communication between the Master and slave regarding limits and care, a loving relationship lifestyle in its own unconventional way.
An absolute wonderful resource to listen Ito s the (Master Slave Lifestyle) podcast.
While we all must absolutely continue the fight against forced slavery and human trafficking around the world, we shouldn't shy away from discussions either. Knowing about sub-groups, lifestyles, and there differences can also further help combat and identify the inhuman events taking place.
