It's a free art lottery for toons, no catch, no requirements! Keep reading if you'd like to have a try at getting some free art of your character. Remember, though, the more people who enter the LESS chance any single toon has of winning, so don't tell others about this unless you REALLY want them to enter it.

How To Enter: If you want to take part, write a reply to this journal and introduce your character. Also give a link to a reference for your character, making sure the reference is posted on your FA gallery. Then tell of a slapstick toon gag your character will perform on the victim if your character is selected as victor. That's all you need: An introduction telling who your character is, a reference showing what your character looks like, and a choice of slapstick gag your character will perform if you're the victor.

What's gonna happen: When the deadline comes, I'll randomly pick a victor and a victim from the list of toons who enter. This will be done truly randomly (using www.random.org in fact) so my choice doesn't enter into it. If you enter and get picked, you could be picked as either victor or victim. Just to be clear, only 2 toons will be chosen from the whole list of entries, 1 as victor, 1 as victim. Once a victor and victim have been chosen, I'll make a picture based on the victor defeating the victim using the slapstick gag that the victor chose.

Just to show an example of an outcome, here's the result from the first event where Peter the Wolf, who was chosen as victor, had wanted to flatten the victim with his steamroller if he won. The victim ended up being DClaw the highly evil Cat, and the result was...

FLAT CAT! So as you can see, if you enter, even if you get selected you don't know whether it will be as victim or victor.

A word about gags, though. I want to keep this clean, and I want to keep the appeal broad, so the gags need to be stuff that's actually happened in real cartoons. If you keep it general, and just say something like "I want to blow someone up with TNT" or "I want to drop an anvil on someone" that's going to work fine, but if you want to get more specific and actually point to a scene from a cartoon, that's good too! You can give a cartoon title and tell when a gag happens, and I can go look it up. So if there's some moment from a cartoon that's made you go "YES! I'd TOTALLY do that to someone, hahaha" feel free to post it up.

Oh, one more thing, if you want to enter but don't have a toon character? No problem! You can enter any character you own as long as you don't mind the character being toonified and made PG-rated.

Okay, there ARE some rules. These are strict, but they're also common sense.

RULES:

1. Be nice! This is the Golden Rule...Actually, it's just a Chocolate Rule covered in gold-colored foil... But when posting here be on your most sweet and friendly behavior toward others. All trauma should be limited to the pictures themselves, no fighting on the journal.

2. Only enter 1 character! Don't enter using multiple accounts or anything of the sort.

3. Only enter an original character you own! No characters from movies, TV shows, video games or the like.
