Damn. I can’t say it was terribly surprising as he alluded to undisclosed ailments in journals and my few communications with him the past couple years. But it is a terribly sad moment all the same. He is what got me into the fandom’s orbit back in 2004 when looking for art to represent NPC Lupins in a 3.5 D&D campaign. Also, I found out much later he also did work on the female werewolf model and skin for Quake 2, which was pretty darn good for the time. In my last communications with him, he still had plans for projects he wished to accomplish. In particular, and mainly to me directly asking, he had at least some ideas about doing more stuff with Asheru’s iron age world, to perhaps include an RPG supplement of some sort, but various things had priority. A bit obvious what that may have been now, unfortunately.

He was a consummate professional in his works and great creator of things. From credited pieces of the Cyberpunk RPG universe, to game mods, art and modeling tutorials, to his own worlds he shared through various magazines and websites. He and his works will be greatly missed.
