✦ Updates + Commissions (G)
Just wanted to give a small-ish update after my appointment yesterday (now that I've gotten a referral to an oncologist that doesn't require an hours drive one way)
Unfortunately the cancer has gone from stage 2 to stage 3 and is impacting my lymph nodes, vessels, and pelvis. (This would account for the leg pain I've been having recently and the large amount of bleeding/anemia according to my doctor.)
I have two treatment options, one is an aggressive trial that adds 6wk + immunotherapy to my treatment plan. The biggest downside is that it could cause my immune system to go into overdrive and start attacking my other organs. (Not ideal!) The other is the standard of care, with no immunotherapy. My doctor encourages the trial since my cancer seems to be aggressive itself.
They also want to perform a surgery to move my ovaries higher into my body so they might not be effected by treatments (50/50 chance) and delay menopause.
The only thing left that I've been on the fence about is if I want to save my eggs. They won't be viable after treatments, and I wont be able to carry any pregnancies in the future. I currently don't have any plans for kids, but I am also still pretty young and that might have changed in the coming years. The only thing that's stopping me is the idea that surrogacy in the future wont be viable. (It's very expensive!)
Radiation will be daily, and chemo will be once a week. The entire treatment plan lasts 17 weeks with monitoring for 5 years from the first day of treatment to ensure it doesn't return.
It's obviously a lot to think about. And it will be a lot to manage once it starts.
Until then I'm going to be hammering out commissions as much as I possibly can, since I'm still feeling the effects of everything I'm slower, because once I start treatments I may not be able to do as much for a long while.
Any open commissions are available on my VGen (Prices, availability, TOS, and info are available there as well.)

There are currently a few open slots and a YCH.
Thanks for reading, cheers!
