Hey guys, so I guess it looks like I'm still here and well.. a lot of us still are afterall too.

Firstly, I want to apologize if my last journal upset anyone or seemed a bit harshly worded. I'm sure as several others can recall, it was a time of heightened emotions, feelings of confusion and betrayal ran rampant and frankly, it did feel almost like things were headed south and a large portion of this fandom was about to find a new home. I'm glad - and relieved - that this doesn't appear to be the case, and while I still feel FurAffinity and its staff have some trust to rebuild, they're at least making the proper steps forward now to mend things and make things right, and have people from our circle in the mix now to help properly guide them so we can avoid this all unfolding again, and I think that's great!

However...

There's still one small thing I've noticed upon reviewing the newly drafted 2.7 Policy that kind of... bugs me, and is why I've been hesitant for so long to fully return here and begin posting art again. Most of it is significantly better worded and more clear and concise while also allowing for the grey areas that are up for interpretation and best judgement to occur, and I'm glad to see that! However, there's one particular part of the policy that causes me a bit of concern and is why I've been hesitant to return.. So I've finally decided that perhaps the best way to get input from others for their opinions on this and what they think it may mean or its fairness, that I would simply just post here.

It may seem miniscule to most, especially as it's something that doesn't apply or appeal to everyone anyway! But, here is the line in question:


*Juvenile characters are not permitted to appear in heavily fetishized content or sexually based attire, including but not limited to lingerie, BDSM gear, bondage, and overly gratuitous (“hyper”) depictions of soiled or leaking undergarments that are typically unfeasible for an average person (for further information on ABDL and “babyfur” content, see section 2.7.2.)


Obviously, a lot of this makes sense, and I agree! However, my concern lies in prohibiting depictions of hyper diaper usage... I can see how, in scenes depiction overt pleasure or in a sexual context, that this could be wrong, but I also know that myself and likely several others in this fandom are well, to be blunt, rather large fans of hyper diaper usage! Honestly, another reason why I waited so long was to see if anyone else would notice or object to this first, yet here I am... I mean, I know several people who love this kind of art and the joy it brings them, and while I understand again that this isn't the kind of art everyone enjoys, surely I'm not the only one who noticed this or has a problem with it... right?

I want to clarify, to emphasize, that I'm not trying to use this to in any way condone or encourage sexual content involving babyfurs, or minors for that matter.


I just wanted to reach out to ask... so I guess, even though it pretty much spells it out anyway.. does this mean we can no longer upload hyper art involving babyfurs? :c And... does that feel fair? Or.. am I the only one upset, concerned or confused by this?

This is why I have yet to resume uploading art on this website, as while it doesn't dominate my art gallery, I've certainly gotten a few I'd feel pride and joy in sharing with everyone. I know we're probably in the minority here, but... surely we aren't that small of a group? 😥


Anyway, sorry for bringing up a topic I'm sure we're all tired of hearing about, and if you made it this far, I'd really love your feedback. Even if it doesn't really help answer any questions, it'd be nice to at least know I'm not entirely alone in this.
