My second fuzzy con, and the second of many, many more.

Countless memories that I will cherish until the day they bury my corpse, and friendships newly made that will last perhaps beyond that point in time.

Time, what is this weird thing? Interesting that tff was almost a whole week. However, it all feels too short. Today i woke up in my bed and it felt soo surreal. Almost like the whole con was a dream, such a far cry from the mundane of my normal day to day life.

Many new things i've thought of during this con. Many of these things i want to implement for the next one. Useful things, awesome things, funny things.

A few of these things i would love to get up and running and have for the furs that go to cons.

One in particular i feel would be very useful, but would require collaboration with those running cons and i hope this idea gets to those in charge of said cons.

So here goes: To those beloved wizards behind the curtains that make these cons a reality: a idea to help people stay connected and make networking easier.

I've noticed that most of the furs at cons have smart phones, either android or ios based. With this usually comes with the connectivity to the internet and a camera and a wifi module within the phone.
During cons i've noticed that when there are soo many people around, sometimes conversations are cut short, or by other events one can't quickly write down contact information.

This proposition is for a unified, connected database for con goers to quickly tag a QR code on someones badge, and type out a quick note that will help them remember, or perhaps a quick video recording, or audio snippit. The qr code would link to a online database that would have contact information that said person has already filled out, example ones fa, skype, email, ib, da, fb, twitter etc. Because sometimes as i have noticed some furs have a different fa name than what's on their badges.

Another thing that may help is the ability to locate/communicate during these magical conventions. Most of these cons take place at hotels, most hotels will have wifi access. to make this wifi access possible one needs wireless access points. to cover a large volume of a hotel one needs many of these, and each one is unique: Each will have a different MAC address. This proposition is to use this in the app to triangulate and give you a "GPS" functionality while in the hotel by using the MAC addresses and signal strength from these access points. Something like this could be used by staff for logistics/helping find someone. A good example of this that i saw at tff was at some points i had to find ratchet. This guy was everywhere, a ninja behind the scenes. And i had to run around all over the place to find him.


Gah, sometimes i wish there was a better way for me to export my ideas, sorry for the scattered thought processes, but this is how my mind works.
