I worked on a story a tiny bit the other night, and in general the moods lately have been hitting HARD.

I had been progressively working on a few fairly simple stories in the background on and off for what feels like several years, although the past couple years I haven't really been seeing myself as a writer anymore. Put simply, though, I felt I've always been an idea man, and in lieu of very much art or other talent, stories became a way of just...getting my ideas out there.

After the recent pull back from FA and them making a few corrections to make things better for us again, I've been understandably hesitant and just keeping things in private circles. But I've progressively been more and more "brave" (or probably just not caring as much) about what I repost to my Bluesky, been continuing to shoot around ideas with a friend or two, and now I'm working on stories again, bit by bit. I've even been looking back fondly on my SUPERverse project, dreaming and wishing with what could have been...and what still could be at some point, if I wished it.

When will said stories be ready? Will they ever be ready?
I don't know. They've been in the pipeline for years already, so who's to say?

But I'm working on them again, and while you may not think that's such a big deal, it is to me.

Many of the stories are meant to be fairly simple fare to just shake off the rust, but one in particular has evolved a bit beyond that, and it's serving a double purpose as a proof of concept for a couple mechanics I've been pitching to a friend. If nothing else, I'd really like people to see that one some day.

So in this time of...way too much shit going on...just know that I'm still holding out hope for some things.
