7 years ago at some indeterminate time, while role playing on World of Warcraft, someone convinced me to escalate things into an ERP. I don't remember the date exactly for that, but with my partner in this ordeal being a Druid deciding to take to a shape shift form, it was my first real furry encounter. Lots of fun, enjoyed it a lot.

And as I looked around, got more into role playing, I eventually found a website called f-list. Now, I decided to make a character there a little under a year later. Initially making this account on a Nintendo switch I have found a way to open up a web browser on.

Whoa whoa whoa-- Why on a web browser on a Nintendo Switch? Look, I'm a weird guy, not everything I do is normal. My phone didn't have a charge and my computer was down because it was at a repair shop. I improvised.

Some folks on their may remember me, timid, didn't exactly know how to fit in, trying to fit in, nervous beyond all belief and trying, but not exactly succeeding.

I went profile-pictureless for about a year, before I placed the commission.

Sendar was open, he drew great dragons, so I decided to commission a simple reference sheet from him, nothing complex, I don't need 12 different angles of my dragon, I just need enough to really show people what they're getting into with him, the show them how he looks.

We kept in touch, going from this website to telegram, getting me to create one so I could keep a hold of him. I can feel the excitement in my chest every time I received an update. It was actually happening, and instead of feeling ashamed about it, I was excited.

This excitement continue to grow as he started to give me a possible completion date. If I had a tail it would have been turning into a damn helicopter at this point with how excited I was.

And then, on December 16th 2020, at 2:47, I was sitting in my local deli gas station place. Look, I don't really know how to describe the place that well beyond this. All I know is they have really good fried chicken. When I got the message, it was finished. When I opened up the message and saw the completed work? I practically flew out of my seat.

Cuz this isn't just my first commission, it's me finally deciding to go from dipping my toes in the water to finally being a furry. To finally wanting to be a part of the community instead of being a curious onlooker.

And today, I celebrate the 5-year anniversary of this moment. The real moment that brought me to all of you, who supported me, liked stuff I had commission, or things I said. You're the one who brought me in and kept me around, which is why I want to share this special anniversary with you.
