So the Southern Poverty Law Center was all over my Facebook feed, begging for money. Where did this come from, alluvasudden? Turns out it's because they got indicted for financially supporting the very racist hate groups they're supposed to be fighting:

Seems today's KKK and affiliated racist twits are a rapidly shrinking gaggle of numbskulls who can barely manage to wipe their own asses, let alone menace the public. Faced with the disappearance of their reason for existing, the SPLC decided to contribute enough funds to keep the pathetic remains of the South's hate groups from collapsing entirely. Hey, we're just trying to stay in business, here!

But after I had my sad, despairing laugh, I finally came to the conclusion that this is good news: Racism - the open, violent sort at least, has become so despised and unfashionable, that the remaining hate-fanclubs have to be put on life support by their supposed adversaries. That's progress, of a sort? Yes?

And while I'm on the subject - Racists, aren't you tired of being everyone's sucker? Donald Trump, New York's slimiest con man, and Jeffrey Epstein's least favorite customer, got into the Presidency - TWICE! - simply by appealing to your mindless bigotry. You'll let this guy run the country into the ground, just as long as he lets you be shitty to your darker-hued fellow-citizens? That's all he has to do? You're THAT easily bought?
Nixon's Southern Strategy may have worked for him, but it sure didn't help you. In fact, none of the carpetbaggers appealing to your hatred have ever delivered on their promises, once they got what they wanted from you. Aren't you tired of it yet?
