So This is a bit of a serious post I've been doing my best to avoid.


I have found myself in some rough waters. I'm not at risk of becoming homeless just yet, but the various deals I had doing freelance work for people (video editing, voice/narration work etc) have all dried up. Unfortunately, this is one of those "AI can replace me" things. So I'm going to need to get a "traditional" job.


About 6 months ago, I had to take my 26 year old Subaru off the road due to rust. It won't pass inspection. So I need a car. Nothing fancy. I'll take anything I can get that will pass inspection and last at least 2 years.


I have a job opportunity through a friend that is a mobile tech for a company that services ink jet printers, but of course I need transportation.
I wanted to do all this on my own and have tried my absolute hardest. I gave myself 6 months and I haven't been able to make it work. I've searched for remote work, and everything is a scam. There's nothing local to me I could walk to and there's no bus or uber in the mountains in central Pennsylvania where I live.


A few friends convinced me to make a GoFundMe and I was very hesitant. I really don't like asking for help.

I am asking for help. Anything from anyone helps. A share even.
I'm just trying to be a productive member of society.
