There's a French animated film that came out recently called "Pets On A Train" (called "Falcon Express" in a lot of other countries). Many of the comments I've seen about it say that it's an Over The Hedge knock-off/remake and "looks like AI".

Well I saw the film a few days ago and aside from the protagonist to being a raccoon looking to feed his friends that's where the similarities kind of end. I also seriously doubt that it is an AI generated film... It does look a bit jerky compared to something that Pixar would make, I've seen quite a lot of lower budget smaller studio animated films and this is about the same standard you'd expect to see from them.

But I definitely don't think it's AI because AI isn't yet capable of making films with lots of long drawn out scenes, and also because I have an eye for these things (I'm a former animation and computer arts student, and no thanks to the garbage you see on Facebook) and I think the fact is that so many people are used to expecting AI content these days that that's what they will say, whether they mean it or if they are just trolling.

But yeah I thought the film was actually good fun. Some of the story elements are quite predictable and familiar (but then like with music there are only 12 notes on a piano) but it's a perfectly serviceable film that is good family entertainment for what it is. 👍
