Hey YOU! Yes YOU! If you are reading this, then I am talking to you! Directly to you. Not the person over your shoulder, not the person on the other end of cyberspace reading this, but to YOU. Did you know that in Greek there are multiple terms for English word 'love'? Four such words are as follows:

Philia - pretty much meaning a friendship type of love, or just 'to like'

Eros - this is the passionate love...many times reffering to a sensual love, but also possibly just meaning a love that is greater than Philia.

Storge - a natural affection. Parent-child type of love, or a puppy-dog-type love.

Alright, before I put the last type up, let me say that all three of these types of love were used a lot in the greek culture. The language is very specific, and placed value on everything. Everything was worth something. This last word, however was not used nearly at all. The word was:
Agape - which, although somewhat different in definition now, meant to hold in infinite value. This word was used commonly in the New Testament to describe God's love for YOU! That's right! YOU! You = infinite value to God!

Although I can never truly love with an agape love, I am trying my hardest, because it is definitely worth it! Everyone needs love, and I have love to give! I love YOU! I love you with as close to that agape love as I can get - so even if you believe there is no God, you can't believe there is no me, cuz I'm right here! ^_^

Never feel that you are not valuable, not worthy of life, not strong, not smart, not amazing or special or anything else, because YOU ARE LOVED! And not just for what makes you loveable, but also for what makes you unloveable! I love your flaws and the things you don't love about yourself! You've never screwed up too badly to lose God's love - take a look: He loved Paul, who had been going around killing His followers, he loved David who fell in love with another man's wife and had the man killed in battle, He loved Jacob who stole his father's blessing from his brother and ran away, He loved people so much He came to Earth and lived among them for 33 years doing nothing but loving people and they killed Him in one of the most brutal ways ever imagined. He could have stopped it at any time, but He didn't. Why? Because he loved YOU! He died so He could conquer death once and for all to provide a way out for His people. Then he made it so that anyone could be one of His people, saying if anyone believes He died and rose again for them, acknowledges that they aren't perfect and accepts His gift of the Holy Spirit, He would declare you not guilty before God and give you everlasting life!

Yes! He would give YOU everlasting life! He loves YOU, and nothing you could do could stop Him from loving you. He offers you a gift - the greatest gift ever given - but you have to accept that gift for it to be yours!

It's never too late to accept that gift! The thief dying on the cross accepted the gift moments before he died, and do you know what Jesus said? He didn't say, 'Sorry, you're a bit too late.' He didn't say, 'Well, I'm glad you get the message, but there's no way you can prove yourself now; you can't start going to synagouge or give money to the poor. If only you'd realized earlier.' He said, 'Today you will be with me in paradise.' Isn't that amazing? Even with his last breath and nothing to offer, that man's faith and acceptance of Jesus was enough. So why would you be any different? He will accept YOU - all you need to do is ask!

God agapes you! And so do I! If nothing else, never forget that! ^_^
