Anthro Artist | Registered: Mar 19, 2009 11:34
Welcome to my world...
I love different kinds of art, but cartoons and animations are my favorite. From american animation to anime, I love 'em all! I like drawing anthro art because I started making anthro characters a long time ago. I have so far created a vast array of characters. I hope one of these days you will meet them all. I hope to someday tell their stories as well. I still have a long way to go in my journey but I'm sure it will be a fulfilling one. Join me, won't you?

Your Despicable!
hahah, I saw Despicable Me a few days ago and I gotta say, I enjoyed that movie. =3
I love all the characters in the movie, from Gru, a Super Villain striving for the top, to the kids Margo, Edith and Agnes, to Vector, the youngest and newest Super Villain in town. They all got pretty funny personalities, but Gru was the showstopper. His weird accent reminded me of Dexter from Dexter's Laboratory, cuz, lets face it, all mad scientist type super villains have eastern european accents. He's such an asshole and a badass when he wants to be that its not hard to like this guy, and yet we get to see a softer side him when the kids come into his life. Its a nice switch but he never looses that charm. And Vector completes the Dexter's Lab reference because he's just like Mandark and the rivalry just feels like that. Younger and better doesn't necessarily translates to a better villain, as we find out later. Then there are Gru's minions, which I found hilarious. Cute lil' guys that reminds me of the LGMs from Toy Story or Oompah Lumpahs. X3
The story goes at a leisurely pace and has a lot of cool and funny moments to keep me entertained, and I can tell the other people watching had fun as well. There wasn't really any faults I could find with the movie. I would have liked a throw-away James Bond-esque like spy to go against Gru in the first few minutes of the movie, just to illustrate how much of a bad-ass he is in taking him out, besides Gru's daily routine in the suburbs. I recommend seeing this movie. I would like to see a sequal where the kids learn to become super villains, mwuahahah! XD
Ok, looks like we got a bunch of new animated movies coming our way as well. I didn't see some of the trailers of the ones some people mentioned; like Rango, which had Johny Depp as a chameleon in a western setting, which I wanna see. Then there was Rio, the other trailer I didn't see, I guess about 2 housepet birds who break out, in Rio. Looks interesting. Then there is The Legend of the Warriors of Ga'hoole. Hot damn the CG on this one looks awesome! Haven't read the books its based on but I will definately check this out! The main owl characters look realistic but talk, and the story looks kinda dark, like 9, so that's always interesting. Then off course, at the heels of Illumination Entertainment's Despicable Me, is Dreamwork's Megamind, another movie with a main character who is a Super Villain (isn't it usually Pixar and Dreamworks with the similar movies? XD) Another one to look forward to. Then we have another one of Disney's takes on a classic Fairytale, this time on Rapunzel called Tangled. The characters look funny and cool, but not much else is revealed yet so I can't wait to see more on it. Lastly was an oddity to me, Smurfs is coming to the big screen. Its not enough that they resurrect Alvin and the Chipmunks but now this as well? All I can say is that their eyes look weird, I guess translation from 2d to 3d will always make it look different. Not only that, the story of Smurfs looks like its set in contemporary times, with a bunch of Smurfs gripping tightly on top if a speeding taxi. I guess Ye Ole' Medieval Times won't cut it this time. I bet they'll be discovered by a kid and there us an ancestor to Gargamel, who also just happen to have a cat. Oh well, gotta see more trailers on that, but I predict this movie being less than average at best. Oh well, more movies please!
