Wow its been quite a while since I last was on here.

Hello everyone who still remembers me. Sorry I disappeared like that. A lot of things have happened since I was last here. I cant say for sure how long Ill be around again as I tend to forget this place exists a lot but Ill try to make more of an effort to swing by. That said, Ive also made a few changes to this account. The main change being that im no longer doing craft commissions, or rather, commissions at all. If I feel up to it I might do a digital art piece here and there but honestly I just dont have it in me to do commissions anymore. So this account is now strictly for me to post the stuff I make for people to see. Thats it lol.

Since its been ages since I last was here, ill give a little life update for anyone who has an interest. If not, no worries :P

Lets see... where to start.

My dad was always in bad health even before I vanished from here, but it was getting substantially worse as time went on. His Parkinson's was getting worse and worse and after breaking a hip and having to be wheelchair bound and just overall not being able to care for himself anymore, I wound up in the role of backup caregiver to my dad (my mom being his main caregiver). So a lot of my time was filling in for her and helping my mom out with his care while trying to maintain my mental health through it all. It wasnt easy and honestly there were lots of frustrations running high but I managed.
Unfortunately my dad wound up passing away at home, surrounded by all of his loved ones, on January 1st 2022. He went very peacefully in his sleep so im thankful it at least was painless for him in the end. Still sucks though and the whole thing is very bittersweet.

After my dad's passing my mom decided she wanted to move out of the big house and move into something smaller for herself. That meant I also had to move out and I subsequently started looking for a place of my own. So it was pretty hectic for a while as my mom worked on packing up her house in preparation for moving while I also paired down all my things and packed up to move into my new apartment. Stress was high and emotions were reeling but eventually I moved out of my moms basement and into my very own apartment, my mom moving out a few months after me into her new place.

While the process of packing and moving was going on, I also had family drama happening. My sister was causing problems for the family, specifically my mom, and long story short it resulted in her burning bridges with pretty much everyone and my mom and sisters cutting her off. Its way too much drama to go into and honestly no one needs to hear the specifics anyway.

So yeah! Lots of stuff happened. But now im on my own in my own place, family drama is done, and ive settled into the new normal of my life. I volunteer once a week at a cat rescue, still hang out with friends and family, and still attend conventions when I can. However my new place is a lot smaller than my moms basement so most of my craft stuff couldnt come with me. I still brought along a few things that I can do that doesnt take up a lot of room (i.e. crochet supplies mostly) as well as my drawing tablet so I still have things of the art variety I can do. But honestly, I mostly play video games, play with my animals (I have a ferret now in addition to my cat!), cook, clean, sleep, watch youtube/streaming places, and overall take life one day at a time. Im in a much better place mentally than I was and Id like to think im doing alright all things considered. Im happy with where I am and while I still try and work on myself in certain aspects, im pretty content overall.

And to anyone who was trying to reach me via notes and I didnt reply, I sincerely apologize and am doing my best to respond. Also apologies to everyone who follows this account for disappearing like that without a word. I am definitely going to be making an effort to check here on a more regular basis but I apologize if I wind up poofing again.
