It's been a long while hasn't it?

Well as the title says, I will be moving to Iowa! So if you're in the area let me know! But to catch people up to speed for all three people who actually read these.

Today was the last day working at my job, and I will be moving next month, It's been almost eleven years here in Michigan but my time here is coming to an end. My Grandma passed away in early 2022, and since then this place has never been the same and I have to move on, it's just been too painful. Where I live now the rent has skyrocketed, my job isn't providing healthy work conditions or wages and staying here will bankrupt me, financially, emotionally and mentally.

Speaking of which these last two years have been a struggle coming to terms of who I am, I never really realized how much of who I am was dependent on where I am and who's around me. Coming to terms of the loss of my grandma hasn't been easy, and to be frank I'm still learning to deal with the pain, or the fact that she's no longer around to anchor me. So this move will be a start of a new me in a sense. I'm excited and scared, I have a support group of friends where I'm moving that have been there for me in more ways than they will ever know. So I'm hoping with all these positive changes I can get a hold on art again, and my hobbies in general.
