Good day everyone, sorry for my absence. If I haven't replied to any of the notes you sent me, it's because I have been pretty busy for a couple weeks. First off, I was cleaning my apartment because my SO, who lives out of state was coming for a visit. In the meantime, my mom (who lives an hour from me, and has always been my best friend) fell and was sent to the hospital because she had a brain bleed, and to top it off my dad is showing early signs of dementia so I worry about him being by himself. So in the middle of doing housecleaning after work, I had a cop come to my door to inform me of what happened to my mom with no idea of how bad off she was. So that was scary. In the midst of all this, I also had to pick my SO up from the train station which is also in an hour away from me in the opposite direction. My dad also freaked me out a bit by getting combative with me after I suggested he spend the night with my SO and I.

The good news is, my mom is didn't have any real noticeable brain damage. And now she is back home after being released from the hospital, and seems to doing just fine, except for having a headache and some backpain. Fortunately my SO was really supportive through this emotional roller-coaster of a week, even though we weren't obviously able to do all the things we had planned. However we did meet an online friend the day after mom got released because he happened to be in the area, and that was pretty fun.
