I can't stop making self portraits (G)

I have no clue why it's almost the only thing I've been making for the past year or so. Nothing but self portraits in a variety of styles and techniques and approaches. Am I that in love with myself? Or am I making up for the years I was spat on, and was just submissively taking it? The only reason it really bothers me is because I'm worried it's getting boring for the handful of people that take their time to view my work
