Hi, how are all of you today? I hope all of you are good right now. I wanted to make this journal to make several points that I want to say to all of you. Nothing serious, just a change of pace for my life and my mind, I hope it's okay. Now what is want to say:

1. Fewer Furry Posting

As for now I am going to reduce my furry posting. Since I was laid off from my previous job back in February 2024, I have been busy making some changes on my Furry Sims. And let’s just say, it was a mentally draining and slog to be honest. Now it's kinda my fault of having so many Furry Sims OC of lets see… 456 OC SIMS4 FURRIES! (Yes I count that, it was that many!) that it became a mental slog and burnout (i blame myself for that).

And that's the reason why I decided to slow down and focus on other stuff. It’s not that I'm going to fully stop posting furry art in FA, I will occasionally do, but most of my time either Faving artworks in FA or reposting art in Twitter (X) or in Bluesky or doing some other thing.

Especially now that I finally got a job in September this year and i have to take care of my dad since he laid off and needed to get a heart bypass surgery after having a heart attack the day before my first work day (Sheeesh...).

So I don't really have a lot of time to spend anymore and my furry posting has drained me for a year and a half. So what other thing did I decide to spend my time on?

2. Fanfiction

I’ve decided that I am writing fanfiction, now what fanfiction that I'm going to write? Well two things in my mind that have been churning my creative moods happened recently and at the end of November: Pokémon Legends Z-A and Zootopia 2.

I love Pokémon (Even though I haven't played the game since Black 2 and White 2 when I was at high school using an emulator.) and I loved Zootopia, these two franchises have built who I am today and have been my creative inspiration for most of my life. I hope one day I can buy a Switch 2 just to play Pokémon games and I can't wait to watch Zootopia 2 and maybe if they are available in my country I'm going to watch it on IMAX for the first time in my life. They're expensive and some of the theaters are far away than the usual theater I used to but they're my favorite expenses and ready to take a longer trip than usual.

And yes these two things are the reason I decided to make a crossover fanfiction with Zootopia and Pokémon for the last few weeks. This kinda happens when i watch peoples playthrough of Legends Z-A that kinda churning my creative mood and though. Hmm… what if the story of Legends Z-A happens in Zootopia, and Boom i decided to write it. Will I post the fanfiction to FA? Well there’s something in my heart that i have to discuss and it's an IMPORTANT ONE!

3. Using AI

I don’t have to remind you all of how artists feel of using AI and the bad repercussions of it, and yes I fully believed in that, SUPPORT REAL ARTISTS! ITS BETTER TO PAY ARTIST TO COMMISSION YOUR CREATIVE IDEAS INSTEAD OF AI! I 100% FULLY SUPPORT THAT.
Having a real artist makes what is in your mind fully translated exactly instead of AI and I do hope one day one of my furry OC can be translated by a real artist and pay them for it.

Now why exactly am I saying about using AI even though I say I fully support real artists? Well first I have to reassure everyone that all of my artwork that I make in FA is fully made by myself with no AI usage in the drawing.

However I did get ideas to design furry skins from AI. The AI here is just a tool that helps me give me ideas of what kind of furry that I could make, then I create the skin BY MYSELF. It's not AI creating the furry skins, some of the furry skins i used are either made by myself or other modders such as Berni, Savestatecomic or SoraFoxyTeils. (Let me remind you, I had a creative slog and burnout for almost a year and a half of being jobless.)

All the poses in the drawings? I made it myself or downloaded other poses that were more suited for what I wanted to pose. No AI used for posing.

However, did I use AI for drawings? I'll be lying if I say no, but I didn't like the result of it.

I did try using AI on some of my Sims 4 Furry OC, either to change style or make it animated, just out of curiosity, and while it is impressive, it does not really capture what I envisioned. I still have those artworks on my computer but again I didn’t really like the result of it. Plus AI is not allowed in FA so it already solidified my thoughts of not posting AI artwork.

So what this has to do with Fanfiction that I've been making, well this fanfiction is for my personal enjoyment, and with the AI ban in FA I don't think it can be share it here.

Another thing, I'm not a writer, I learn something about writing from Youtube like from OSP (Overly Sarcastic Production) but I never experience in writing something, it's just as a fun hobby not as a job and i don’t want to go through another creative burnout or slog especially now i had a job as a motion graphic designer.

So this crossover fanfiction I write is going to use AI, not to create the story, but to give me an idea on how to make dialogues. I have an idea of how the story goes, what characters see, think, or act, basically I writes as a summary of a story instead of storyline and then AI help me create the storyline.

However, I'm not just going to copy and paste it, I have to see if what the AI dialogues says captures what I envisioned the story goes, if there is some dialogue or act that does not match what I'm thinking of, I have to change it, it's a back and forth process.

This story is not in FA since again, AI is banned here, it's in my Google Docs just for my personal enjoyment. I didn’t think about releasing it somewhere because I haven't thought about it yet. I want to focus on the story first.

AI for me it’s Genie out of the bottle, we can’t really reverse back into the past, the past has led to this, and we have to find a way to adapt whether we like it or not. But here’s one thing to say, AI doesn’t really create things, it copies things. It can only be used for ideas for inspiration, not as a final product, and I completely disagree with fully using AI as a final product of any creative works.

There are some areas AI help me with. It gives me an idea of what furry I can make and it helps me with some other things that are missing that I needed help to fill in to help me make a complete picture.

Like what happened in my job where there are some drawings that are cut off, and since it's not my drawing, it's a file downloaded from the company's file so I don't know who I contacted and it will take time so I have to use AI.

I asked AI to fill that missing part, however, just as I thought, the AI didn’t really give what I wanted so I had to edit that AI image to match with the drawing and the rest is all by myself. The company did say you can use AI but only to help, not as a final product.

However you feel about my thoughts about AI is all up to you, you can decide whatever you want and I can understand it. As long it is civil and not get people harmed.
