Hiya! Name's Ashton. 20, m, Canadian.
Self-taught no-edit* photographer who started shootin' back in March of 2012. I haven't been doing this for long, but I've learned a lot in such a short amount of time and continue to learn more all the time!
I shoot with a Sony alpha-33 SLT. The only lens I currently own and use is the 18-55 mm kit lens that it came with, though I am hoping to invest in a zoom lens as soon as I can afford to.
*None of my photos have been cropped or altered in any way aside from a very small handful that did not capture true to life and had contrast and/or saturation bumped up about 5 points.

6 months seems to have flown by - so sorry for lack of uploads for a while there!
As always, I want to thank every one of you for your kind words and appreciation. I love sharing my work with you guys and I am so floored by some of the responses I've gotten.
I suppose you could say life has kept me busy - and for once, it's happily busy. I don't tend to talk a lot about my personal life here, but the last 6 months have been especially important for me. I took a plunge, and in December I started testosterone (yes, I'm trans) and I can absolutely say it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I feel so much better about myself and my life and so, so much more confident in everything I do.
The reason this is relevant? Less social anxiety means I'll be out taking more pictures and in more places than ever before, because... That one guy over there that might be kinda staring at me while I set my shutter speed and aperture? I don't even notice him anymore. This means it's now within my capabilities to do street/urban photography, among other things. You never know, maybe one day I'll be brave enough to ask that eccentric hipster across the street for a spontaneous portrait. :)
Just thought I'd share. You all have been so kind and inspiring.

I imagine it could be used for calendars.
