"Listen to them! Children of the Night, what music they make!" One of my favorite lines in the original movie Dracula. As long as I can remember the blood of the wolf has flowed through my veins. As a young boy I always ran wild. I had an affinity with the forest. As I grew and became awake to my desires, I looked at females as mates. A quarry that begged to be pursued and conquered. I saw other men as rivals and competitors. I sought to dominate them and force them to my will. I discovered that not only was I wild but I was an Alpha. I was to be feared and respected. I demanded fealty. Any who rose against me was put down with all the fury I could muster. It brought me pack mates that were strong and vicious, fiercely loyal and utterly dependable. It brought me females that were attracted to my power and ferocity. As I grew older, my intensity was tempered with wisdom. My impetus was slowed by my understanding. I used guile and cunning as weapons instead of brute force. I learned to prize honor and loyalty. My wildness is still ever present, but like with the wolves it is controlled and released for the hunt. Do you feel it? Does the call of the wild stir your soul? Does the blood of the wolf flow through your veins?
