I've been informed by a local hobo that the local bums think that because of my paleness, how I move, and my 'aura', that I'm a vampire, and they're watching me.
Fortunately, I only drink the blood of those that think I'm a vampire, so news doesn't tend to get around. I also make slave dolls to serve me from the dried husks that remain, but that's just innocent stuff.
