I recently started to read a book called "48 laws of power" by Robert Greene. I thought it would be great to update a journal with it's every chapter, so here I am for the first one.

Never Outshine Your Master

This law highlights how crucial it is to remain modest and have self control, particularly in interactions that are hierarchical. It shows succeeding your superior would not make him feel proud of you instead it might fuel feelings of insecurity, resentment, and jealously in him which will threaten his superiority and would not be a good thing for you.
