Greetings Fur suiters and furry creatures far and wide.
My name is Roberto and I am happy to meet all fo you.
I am 31 going on 32, young latino straight male based out of Monmouth County, NJ, so uhhh yea for furries in their 30's. Guess you can call it furties.
I've always been fascinated by anthro creatures and anthro worlds in books, video games, and shows. My first big enjoyment was Star Fox growing up, but then I really dug into things like THe Mighty Ducks Animated Series, Disney's Gargoyle's, Space Jam, and Animorphs. I've always been fascinated by animals by creatures, and the ability of transformation. To become bigger, faster, stronger, more resilient. To use that ability for good. To feel sensations you never thought possible. It's mesmerizing.
The same can be said on intimacy and romance. Could being a werewolf bring out the courage to show your affection to the one you love? Would he/she accept you for being a beast? And, well, when it comes time to...you know....do you do it in human form or beast form? Just some questions to be asked, especially for someone like myself that enjoys sci-fi and fantasy.
As I write this, I came off of watching BNA: Brand New Animal, the new Studio Trigger ANime, and it was just so refreshing to see an anthro-focused anime so well-realized, with great themes of identity, heroism, and discovering yourself in the most unexpected ways. The chains that shackled my creativity broke for me. I need to embrace my weird side. My furry side. My strange side.
It's funny because I never used the term Furry to describe myself before. But now, it's becoming more wildly accepted and I feel the time has come to peel off the layers to reveal that part of me inside. I've always been BIG into video games, anime, movies, and just embracing their stories, their worlds, and the ways they can teach us more about ourselves. I've attended local cons and big cons. TooManyGames to E3. What I appreciate in this geek culture is the humanity, the collective connection that binds us all in getting ost in the worlds we create.
I admit that while having a degree in graphic design, my skills are lacking. I look at some of you guys ut there and you guys are amazing. Strype, Adalore, dragonstorm, DoomXVixen, Zorryn, Myre, MilesDF, AkuOreo, Wraith, Zeno Coyote's artists, so many of you are absolutely amazing. I admit I need to believe in myself, get stuff out there, commit and learn. And perhaps one day, I shall be able to provide my own synthart.
In the meantime, I'll take to creative writing and experiment with TG and TF stories. Maybe other ways to flex my writing abilities. One of my best friends says I should just write stories, no matter what they are, because you flex a muscle that can only get stronger over time. I also write for a military charity that helps veterans cope with mental illness through video games, as well as another site, so writing might be sporadic. I'm also working to play more LGBTQ video games to better understand games as told by persons from that community as well. The charity I write for is working with Trans Lifelines in particular, so I am working to understand and learn.
Yes, Synthwart is my jam. Cyborg wolves, Synthetic, busty vixens, Buxom dragons, robot dolphins, that's my thing. So yea, any of that is great with me.
Finally,

Now, time to draw my fursona. Well, to the best of my ability anyway. Stay safe and well and have each other backs out there.
