SCAMMER ALERT: If you are approached by an user named Bowen on Discord about being interested in a commission, don't bother. He's a scammer. He sent me a Note on this website as "Ben899" about my Discord handle to make a request. His account here has already been terminated.

After requesting a rather simple pic (in my case, a drawing of his "cousin" in my style) he insisted on paying me U$500.- for the job, alleging that he wanted to "support my art", which I vehemently refused and insisted on the basic, proper commission value. Once I showed him the sample sketch he agreed to go to payment, to which he insisted on me giving him my PayPal mail. I did so, already knowing that this was a scam, but really wanted to see what happened next for sheer morbid curiosity.

And lo and behold, after taking a suspiciously long time to make the payment, he says he sent it but, of course, I'm not getting any confirmation mail from PayPal nor updates on the App. He then goes "maybe check your spam mail", and yes, there it was, a wonderfully terribly-crafted mail "from paypal" saying that my account had been suspended because he had sent me the U$500 after all.

It was gloriously bad; like, the mail comes from a GMAIL account, come on, put a bit more of effort! And even has the wonderful line "NOTE: The only solution is to follow these instructions." It's just great in the most terrible way.

Block this user. I'm not even sad, just terribly, terribly disappointed.
