2025 was a very difficult year for my family - possibly the hardest in my life. after my father's death everything got turned upside down. i've been sharing a room with my mom for over 9 months now. been struggling with bed bugs that bite me and keep me awake at night. i am still sleeping on a futon on a floor stuck between my partner's desk and a heater. there is no privacy for any of us. there was so much to do and we're not done yet. i can't count how many calls, offices, documents and trips i had to take care of last year. there was a lot of grief and loss. my mom lost her husband and her entire life, almost all of her belongings had to be thrown out and her entire apartment had to be completely redone due to infestations of bedbugs and cockroaches that was so severe, administration and all neighbours had to be included as well.

from good things - i managed to get my mom more goverment support and i'm still fighting to get her more. she's stable, taken care of and i'm taking her to all doctors and making sure she has all her medication and anything else she might need. i also encourage her to get herself things, even if that's just a snack. she spent most of her life being neglected and never had a chance to do anything just for her.

i've been going to therapy and taking medication for a few months now, i resolved some of my personal issues that have been a huge wound on my heart as well. there is a calmness in my life that i haven't felt in a very long time, despite everything. i really want to be a better person for myself and everyone else. long road ahead of me, but i finally am able to take it.

there is a lot of things i did learn last year as well, about many things. what to do when someone dies, where to go, what to do. more experience about supporting someone with disability and how the process works and what documents are needed. i had to problem solve things i never had to think about. i believe i gained a lof experience and are more capable.

and as a finish to everything that i'm working hard on - we will be moving this year. i want us all to get our peace back, privacy and stability. please wish us luck, we really need it. i hope it will be a chance for all of us to heal and grow and have a better life.
