So, life has been extremely hectic. I finished another year of graduate school and thought I'd have time to do a lot of writing during the summer but that has fallen through since I need to work 3 jobs just to pay the bills :(

I thought I'd post this for the few people who peruse this page so they know I'm alive and have intentions of posting more work eventually.

First of all, I'd like to say thanks to anyone who reads and enjoys my work, I do appreciate it even though this is my "depressed/evil/bat-shit loco" state-of-mind page. If you'd like to read my normal works feel free to send me a note and I'll provide you with a link to my regular pages. I don't like to link this page with my others cause I'm usually as my lowest when I write something that will make its way here and I don't want it to taint my readers perspectives of me.

Second, I have a bunch of project I've slowly been working on and just can't seem to finish any of them. The foremost of these are novellas of several of my storylines from my main channel. I am a horribly poor author and I hope to finish these novellas eventually so that I can make a little money off them here and at other sites. Hopefully you'll keep an interested ear to the ground as I post more news about that.

FINALLY the most important info for this particular page. One of the fore-mentioned novellas I am working on is called The Rite of Gelding and I bet you can guess what it is about just from the title alone, but I'll give you a little anyways just to see if anyone is interested.

The basic premise of this story is that it takes place in a semi-current universe that parallels our own only in this world various species have evolved into bipedal, intelligent, human-like races (also known as furries :P). The story follows an equine community that is modern in all ways that we know of today (but still call themselves a "Herd"). They have evolved from "lower" equines as they call the horses that we all know and love. In this world, human did exist but don't seem to anymore but their practices have continued to carry on. The most prominent of these practices is selective breeding and Gelding any male horse that has not been chosen to be a stallion. The ruling council of "matrons" choose only a select few, or none at all, from each generation as they reach the age of 18. Until the choosing, no male or female is allowed to have sex and doing so has severe consequences.

This story will follow Sam, a young man who's generation has just reached their 18th year. He will have to go through the entire Rite of Gelding and finally become a "man" in the eyes of the Herd. The first part of the Rite is the Testing, where all of the young men will be weighed and measured to see if any stand fit to breed future generations of young. The second part is the Choosing, this is for all the young men who have not been chosen to become Stallions. They are allowed to choose 1 partner (whether male or female) to mate with for 1 week, and finally, to choose whether they remain a member of the herd or be banished forever. Finally, the third part, the Rite of Gelding itself, where the young men who have chosen to remain in the herd undergo surgical castration with no anesthesia. Those that do remain will then take their places as full members of the Herd. Sam must go through the Rite, becoming Stallion, Gelding, or Outcast and live with the consequences of his decisions.
