2024, what a crazy year! It was a very demanding year, full of anger and suffering that slowly turned into sadness and ended in a void of insensitivity. The following is a review of my year:

Psyche

Understanding part of the world and understanding oneself is a psychic punishment and a deep resentment towards oneself. The funny thing, is that throughout this year I have simply spent it laughing because life already seems like a joke to me: the affronts, the punishments, the rejection, the neglect, the hatred, all have ended up bringing a smile to my face because I knew it would happen! I have always been a very spiteful person, and even the peaks of anger I have had have quickly turned into insensitivity.

I no longer believe in the infinity of things: people disappear, they leave you, they get tired of you; principles rust, break down, and end up becoming a nuisance; the mind fills with worms, words are forgotten and the tongue fails; and when the time comes, the pain becomes so deep that it strips you of all rationality and dignity. That's why you have to be prepared and know that, someday, it's going to happen. Life is a school of pain.

Economy

Money has slipped through my fingers this year, from a well-to-do position to poverty, despite my many privileges. I know it's going to get worse, young people don't understand because they haven't lived it but “the ideas of freedom” have visited us several times in the past and have left a wasteland in their path, all for the good of the United States, the only country in the world where people live. We, the filthy creeps who dare to breathe their very air, should be grateful that they spend their time wrecking our economies, injecting their policies, and altering our laws. Our suffering will always be so until the day our masters decide to destroy it all when someone threatens their hegemony.

In more tangible words, I start 2025 with no savings. My crumbs are gone, so I will have to work extra hard to regain the cushion of security that will bring me peace of mind.

Writing

On the literary side, I have to admit that it has been a very good year. I have taken important steps and the habit of writing has become much more stable. There is still a long way to achieve the desired amount per day, but I am on the right track.

I am pleased to say that in this year I have written a total of 20 new stories, and some loose fragments, as well as translations.


Conclusion

And that would be all! I don't want this journal to turn into an endless wall of text that nobody will read.

I wish you all a happy new year, or at least that it will be less of a burden than the last one. Don't give up, don't stop looking for love, and don't become miserable people. Those who can, lend a hand to others, because contrary to what they want to brand in your head, the human being depends on other human beings, no one is fulfilled in a fragmented society.
