Goodness it's been ages.
I say this not only in reference to my activity here, but all the more to my old means of artistic expression. My own interests are so darned fleeting. At first I drew by hand then I got into mechanical aspects through apophysis, and of course nowadays most of my work is literary. I don't think I ever really conducted any of these with a real means of saying I could be professional. In retrospect I chuckle a little.
In the past, I thought myself awful at drawing, but these days I can't even draw as well as I did.
In the past I took to apophysis rather quickly. I even felt bad about how quickly I could produce works. This too I cannot even replicate these days, worse than drawing as the process is a lot more mathematical and mechanical. In days past I had spend hours and hours trying new things, making notes, finding out what made things pretty or intricate. My most recent attempts have been far inferior, notes lost with the loss of my old laptop.
And so I am left with my literary prowess, and what remains of my other skills. I have a job. I'm no longer in school. Being an adult is not as scary as I imagined. It's a bit more frustrating though.
I suppose this is mostly for myself, to put down my thoughts. But I suppose there is a chance someone will read this. How are you? How have things panned out for yourself?
