Hello, everyone! I want to up front say that I know I haven't been around this site very long, as a member, but I have frequented the available art for several years now. It's really only now that I am coming to terms with my inner "furriness"and decided to join.

All that said....I have a small request for a big event. My absolute best friend in the world, Darby  Kader, is GETTING MARRIED to  darkone238 !! But wait, there's more: Darby chose me to be his BEST MAN!!

Unfortunately, I have been on the receiving end of life's gut-punches lately (infidelic wife, divorce, financial ruin) and I have hit a major monetary snag. Now, I have already made attempts on "other sites that will remain unnamed" to try and "crowd-source" my way to California from Mississippi, but I was met with much hostility and was basically told I would stand a better chance begging for change at my local train station (of which there isn't in my town). I was also told in very quick & rude terms that I should decline his offer for best man as I can't afford it.

The truth is that just a mere 18 or so months ago I could have afforded a trip like this, but as I mentioned before...life absolutely got in the way. Now, both of us are willing to suck it up if I can't get up the funds to make this happen. It will suck so very hard, but that's the way life goes sometimes...

HOWEVER!! Sometimes you need a win. Sometimes you have to ask friends and strangers for help. And sometimes said collaboration works out miraculously for everyone involved. So, with a burdened mind & heart I humbly ask that you consider donating to my efforts:

P.S. - Darby and I agree that I will need somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500 to make all this happen (bare minimum with very little wiggle room. That includes: 1. Round-trip plane ticket; 2. Three night hotel stay; 3. Potential taxi/cab rides; 4. The Bachelor Party; 5. Food & Beverage while I'm in Cali.
