So last year really was scarce on arts, didn't feel great. :)
Perhaps I've been conditioned into thinking "output = self-worth," but I'm not completely opposed to that idea.
Not saying I feel like sh-t for taking months off, but I STILL have ways to go on my art skills. Posting monthly is tiring but pushes me to have something for the month, constant improvement.
Will still rely mostly on commissions for this, but will have levity through a leeeeengthy backlog. Will make new stuff too of course, can't rely too heavily on a handicap.

Something I'd like to achieve this year: CLEAR COMMISSION PRICES
Should at least have THIS out and known already, but I'm still deciding on final prices compared to the work. Some comms (ongoing and finished) have definitely felt underpriced. (Not adding fees later dw)
As much as I love to see well-designed/elaborate character designs, actually sketching them down and finishing them is very stressful.
My first commission-info sheet will most likely account for simpler characters only (Pokemon and similar species,) detailed fellas like most dragons estimated by level of detail. (Uncertainty is not great)
I'll just have to continue finding that balance between lenient-yet-acceptable prices, and try not to get overexcited and quickly accept only from appearance lol (Sorry dragon folks, ily)

CHARACTERS, man I should make more than just fan art.
I love to oogle about my favorite media (especially since art for me is still mainly a hobby,) but seeing other folks with their own unique characters is just.. awesome.
Might not be well-designed OR original, but I should experiment and post some sketches into scraps. Could start simple and use my player chars as a base, like my Amber Isle fella Clay.
Make OCs from fav reptiles, or even go for a pokesona. We'll see, I'm still mostly fueled by characters that already exist. That's just how my brain works...

Other finishing remarks or summarizing uhhh....
Will probably make an FA account for my SFW stuff, I've not made much since I'm still using DA.. Will probably make the main gallery here and post monthly there too, with extra laziness.
OC stuff will most likely be shared between the two accounts with a weeeee bit of caution, along with other such projects. We'll see how it goes.

So.. little area for my thoughts here: I usually feel there's no point to sharing my thoughts on Journals here or as posts on BlueSky. I'm more of a "post, don't gloat" kind of person. (???)
Chatting with a good few buds over on discord and posting art when it happens is how I roll, yeah? Ez pz, just going the usual introverted lifestyle~
But still, well-known that sharing thoughts every now and then is good for, potentially, finding new chummy people. I should continue mingling, to try and put life back into my stone-cold heart lol
