Ah, the changing of the seasons. It's starting to feel nice out, instead of the unbearable summer heat we've been enduring. I'm excited for Fall. It's my favourite season, always has been. The trees begin to change their colours and drop their leaves in preparation for the long sleep of winter, but that cold is not here yet. There is still time. Time to forage and grow fat and say our last goodbyes to the sun's warmth. It's soup and sweaters season, and that means comfort.
This month will be my second wedding anniversary, and then of course there's Halloween, and in November it's my birthday! :3 (Holy shit fuck, y'all, I will be THIRTY years old. lol)

But unfortunately I may not have time to celebrate, as I'm currently having to deal with one of the most frustrating experiences of my life... moving. Of course, it's not the actual moving itself that's the problem. The problem is the process of searching for a house. I was supposed to have vacated my current home by now (landlord sold the property and new landlord wants to renovate for nonresidential purposes) but luckily I was able to talk to my landlord and he agreed to let us stay a bit longer because I can NOT seem to get in contact with any property owner/manager about renting a new place, and not for lack of trying. There are plenty of good homes within my price range in the area that I'm looking to move to. I've bookmarked several that I like and want to live in. I've saved the numbers of the leasing offices and called, texted, emailed, left voice mails, everything, and in a month and a half, I have received a grand total of 2 responses: one rude receptionist who would only say they didn't have any homes available and nothing else, and one call back from someone on behalf of a company that didn't feel very trustworthy (and this was after I had walked into the house to look at it and saw that it had been broken into). I told my landlord about this, and he gave me a number to call a friend of his who also owns rental properties, but I couldn't get a response from his friend either.

My search for a new home continues, as my wife continues to fight their uncle to sell their inherited property so that we can hopefully use the money from that to purchase our own home instead of continuing to rent.
