Hello! I am really quite new to this whole Furry community but glad to be here! I've joined FA at the behest of a good friend and I am really glad I did! (^w^)

So I'll begin by saying that I am a tanuki...and yes, its the thing that Mario wears in Super Mario Bros. 3. He was a furry before furry was cool! In fact, Mario was one of my favorite video games as a child and still is. I'm an avid video gamer - mostly retro and, if not that, mostly Nintendo. But my interests are far-ranging and wide. I'm really not <i>again</i> anything per se, except perhaps suffering and the variables that cause it.

Oh, I should mention I identify as Buddhist but I'm comfortable in a church, temple, mosque, wearing a hijab, robe, or nothing at all o(^_^)o. I also get a lot out of Sikhism, Taoism, Christianity, and Jainism. I plan on going to India, Dharamshala soon in order to study and meditate with the Tibetan monks there. Can't wait! But it won't be all fun and games. I'm currently studying Anthropology with a neuroscience minor at the university I am attending. While in India I will be doing ethnographic research (which I adore, but it is hard work nonetheless). My long term goal involves getting in cahoots with the peace corp, going on to grad school in order to obtain a degree in Medical Anthropology, and then going wherever life takes me from there!

I like to:
garden, run, draw, paint, write, cycle, dig my toes into the earth, research, read, attend rallies, fight for my (and others) rights, meet people - especially those that I might not at first approach, stare into someone's eyes and see if they stare back, rock out to music and let the whole world melt away, play Mafia Wars, meditate, put myself into uncomfortable situations and try and expand my world view.

Also, I LOOOOOOVE techno, but I suppose a lot of furs do?
