So, I logged into this site for the first time in three years with the intention of deleting everything and closing my account.

I have completed the schooling that I was in, and I am now a professional something. Professional enough that probably even getting caught looking at a site featuring pornographic images of anthropomorphic animals could potentially end my career before it really starts. Never mind posting images of them.

When I got here after my three year hiatus, I had a few thousand submissions to look at, as well as, to my surprise, several dozen "favorites" and even a couple dozen "watchers" ...!

That really took me by surprise, and made me think twice about closing up and deleting everything. I am still drawing (albeit much less now that I'm not sitting bored in class, but still drawing) and I created a website to showcase my art. A few of the pieces on that site are also posted here, and many do feature "adult content." It isn't as if this is a brief phase in my life that I ought to just up and be done with.

It made me feel really kind of awesome to know that a few dozen people out there in the net-o-sphere think that my art is worth watching, or "fav"-ing, or whatever. It may not be thousands of screaming fans, and it may not be the front cover of "Juxtapoz," but still ... It's people who aren't my immediate friends and family who must think that my art is in some way neato. I have to thank those people for that. It really makes me feel good to know that some of you think this crap is cool.

So, have made the decision not to delete the account (at least not right now). I DID delete some of the more overt porn that I had posted on here (apologizes to anyone who had "faved" it -- unless you saved it on your computer, it's lost and gone forever). That kind of thing just isn't me, and it really never was. I got caught up in it three years ago when I first found this site -- I even did a couple more sketches that never made it on here -- but it always felt kind of pointless, to me, and I got out of it quick and haven't done any since. Most all of my drawings are still anatomically correct, but I don't have any real intention of drawing porn for porn's sake in the immediate future, and I deleted the stuff that fell into that category. (It was really only 4-5 drawings, I think.) THAT was what I really came here to deal with, and I did deal with it. Deleting the whole thing would, I think, be throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

I may choose a different pseudonym in the future ("Doc Holly" is actually not very far at all from my real name; kind of laughably close, in fact), which would necessitate deleting all my stuff and re-submitting it with a new watermark. (I think.) For now, though, I'm keeping it as-is, and the stuff on here as it stands ... I might even post some new stuff some time ... Maybe.

In the meantime, huge thanks to everyone for looking at my stuff! (And, I'm impressed if anyone actually read all that ... I mainly wrote it for my own benefit. :P )
