Meet Sedero, a street-bound mutt whose wolfish side rarely shows. He's a laid-back kind of guy that doesn't much care for altercation and does pretty much what he pleases. That is, until a guy comes to him with an offer: spend ten minutes in a pit fight without getting killed, and earn some money, a hot meal and a place to sleep.

But things don't go as planned when Sedero declines, and he ends up drugged and kidnapped, only to wake up behind bars in a dank and musty basement, just outside the ring where hoots and jeers can be heard from behind metal doors.

And that's when he meets Tyrus, a fighter with a penchant for blood and one that seems so feral, it's as if he's gone over the edge with no intent to return.

So now Sedero has to find a way to be free again, without getting into a battle he can't win. And maybe, just maybe, teach Tyrus about a world that lacks the smell and taste of blood.
