A white knight is...

Somebody who, either, defends a person despite knowledge or indepth knowledge of the situation at hand based on the sole reason that.. (Includes, but is not limited to)

1) They are friends.
2) They are lovers.
3) They are family.
4) They are parents.
5) A certain social status, such as being a popular artist or belonging to a certain party or house.
6) They are looking for something, indirectly, from the person they are "defending"
7) Somebody's Sex, or gender.

White knighting is usually, but not always, when a male person publicly expresses their bias for sex roles, or laws of chivalry.

Some examples of phrases a white knight may use...


"You cannot hit her because she is a girl".
"We are family, so you have to stand by me."
"Men are supposed to [Insert thing]"
"Real men don't hit women".


Generally, it's a specific form of ass kissing, biases and sucking up to people based usually on popular trends and beliefs.
