As you may have noticed, I've removed all of my stories from FA. This is obviously due to the latest changes in the AUP FA was forced to make a couple of weeks ago. Even though not every chapter of Zachary's Report dealt explicitly with underage characters, it was a major theme in the storyline, so I have decided to remove the entire series. You may still find it on SoFurry for the time being, but I am not sure for how much longer, or if I will continue to write stories like this. Truthfully, I've never been 100% comfortable with my interest in cub, and part of me feels it might be time to move forward, to maybe step into the light a bit. Not just for me, but for the fandom as a whole. The complete lack of options Dragoneer has been faced with in finding a payment processor, even when hardcore kink sites have no problem speaks volumes as to the volatility and incendiary nature of this type of art and literature, and the contempt with which the majority of society holds it. This is nothing to feel guilty about, but rather something to ponder. It's never, ever right to make someone feel guilty or ashamed of their personal fantasies, no matter how extreme. It's their actions which dictate how they are to be judged.

I feel especially for those whose Fursonas are literally defined by this category and have now had a vital outlet for their sexual expression. My heart goes out to the cubfurs and babyfurs who now have no place to go. I know asking them to do the same soul-searching I'm experiencing would be unrealistic and unfair. I remember a time, a very long time ago when most Furry art was clean, most extreme kinks were still extreme, and stories and artwork involving underage characters were few and far between. There was a kind of innocence that has slowly eroded over time. Maybe now would be a good time to step back and look at Furry from a fresh perspective, to take a look at what really makes it fun, important, and so special to all of us.

This is not a moral panic, nor do I consider myself morally superior to the hard-core cubophiles. We're all perverts, I suppose, just of a different stripe. I'm of the belief that everyone has their kinks, some are just more open than others, and that crazy sexual fantasies are the product of a fertile imagination. But when you take a step too far, sometimes it's good to just nod and step back then trying to die on a hill.
