currently learning blender so I can make my own smut, and maybe turn other people onto my niche kinks if I'm lucky~
and also as part of a grand plan to become the god-king of my own little VR pocket dimension one day, but that's a long while off

the deal with mastercard/visa and how you can help!
Ok so, for those of you out of the loop:
Mastercard & Visa are threatening to withhold their payment processing services from companies like Steam and Itch.io, unless those companies start refusing to host any and all NSFW content.
How exactly are NSFW artists supposed to make a living if any platform big enough to offer stability is strong-armed into booting them out?
That's irrelevant to mastercard and visa, because they hate you, and they hate the artists you love.
They think of us as degenerates.
And I don't mean the "funny haha" way that a lot of us are used to here.
I mean the actual, literal, "sub-human filth that doesn't deserve any accommodation or consideration" way.
I mean think about it, these are *credit card* companies we're talking about here. Their whole entire business model is built on skimming a little off the top of other people's transactions.
why the hell *else* would they turn their nose up at the opportunity to do that with porn games?
and don't even get me started on what the future's gonna look like if they learn that they can just do this shit and get away with it.
ok, now, what can we do?
firstly and most obviously is signing petitions
this one for US citizens
And this one for the rest of us
now, the jaded among you may rightly point out that petitions often don't achieve as much as what many of us would like them to,
but ultimately change gets more likely the harder it is for people in power to ignore the ones demanding it, and if signing a petition
(*and* forwarding the message onward, oft overlooked part of the proccess!)
is all you have the time or energy to do, honestly same here! it's still better than nothing, and it's dead easy!
now, if you're in the mood to do something that packs a little more punch, well... y'know how I *just* said change gets a lot more likely when the people demanding it are really hard to ignore?
there's actually quite a few publicly available contact addresses you can use to take that philosophy up a notch or two~
Check out this reddit post for more details and a bit of advice on what to actually say
(tldr: they won't give a shit if you just threaten to stop using master card, but on the other end, making personal threats or just venting your raw emotions *will* get you hung up on)
to put it into perspective, if just 1% of the people who have already signed the global petition went and made just a single phone call to just one of these numbers, that would be over 700 phone-calls. that's **not** nothing, and frankly I think It's a conservative estimate. (emails are also usually an option if you think you'd be more effective with that, but emails are generally easier to ignore tbh)
ok, that's all from me! I'm gonna go play more Mario & Luigi Dream Team for the Nintendo 3DS, now. Maybe look at some drawings of tiny furries getting used like toys, idk.
