G'Day,

I'm Pingu, a Fairy Penguin from Sydney, Australia. You can catch me with a camera around my neck or with my volunteer fire brigade, or practicing my ice skating. I love traveling and I love my sports such as Rugby League and Hockey (both ice and field).

I am a supporter of the Pittsburgh Penguins (and their feeder teams), Iserlohn Roosters, Krefeld Pinguine, Hamburg Crocodiles and Adelaide Adrenaline Ice Hockey clubs.

I love having a chat and I don't bite unnecessarily.

I love languages with my focus being on Germanic languages, I can speak somewhat ok German (my grammar can be a bit messed up, but I'm working on it), I can also speak but to a lesser extent Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Estonian, and Spanish.

Word of warning: I can be highly sarcastic at times so I do apologise in advance if something I say is interpreted the wrong way. IRL I am also a notorious shortfuse, I apologise for this but I can go from 0 - 100 extremely quickly if I am rubbed the wrong way.

I might be a Sydneysider born and raised but my soul is in Adelaide, South Australia.

Who is Pingu?:

a 30cm/1ft Tall Fairy/Little Penguin with an attitude. Looks just like a normal Fairy Penguin should (we are blue, not black!), just with longer feathers on his head forming a fringe. Very hard to offend or annoy but will rip into you if you do. Pingu is very family orientated and will put family and friends first, even in an emergency situation - Making bad comments about his family can be off limits! Pingu respects the ideals of others but likes for the same respect to be shown back. Pingu is notorious for having a short fuse if something gets heated and doesn't take crap from anyone, generally dishing it back when an attempt is made. When pissed off, it takes a long time for him to calm down and he looks for any outlet possible to calm down quicker as he can turn quite volatile.

Why Pingu as a name?:

This is my nickname in real life, it was given to me in high school because the animal I had the most contact with at the time was the Little Penguin colony I helped look after. When my friends found out, they started calling me Pingu so a Little Penguin named Pingu was set in cement!
