Slowly, into the abyss that is life I have fallen...
Fallen away from those that I cherish,
and fallen away from that which was once my self...

No parachute to slow me down, on this everlong decent.
I must make a choice, else surely continue my everfall...
Close my eyes to that which was and enjoy this as long as it lasts,
Or open my eyes and spread my wings,
thus becoming that which I must to survive this empasse...

A metamorphosis of sorts I suppose,
but for good or ill I do not know.
Only the trials of experience and time
can surely mold me to who I must become
to indeed be stronger then I once was...

Tame as a dove,
Wise as a serpent.
