Those of you who still come by this page anymore may have noticed some changes to it. A lot of the older submissions have been moved to scraps, save for my favorites. Soon, most or all of those will also be moved to scraps. There has also been a change to the profile.

The reason for all this is that Pozimi will be returning sometime in the next few months with a fresh new design and lore. There are several reasons for this.

When I adopted this character approximately a decade ago from Tirrel, I was a different person with different interests. I was enamored with Pozimi as a character, both because I liked his design and because, admittedly, I was a fan of Tirrel and his art. I still am a fan of his artwork, admittedly, but me and him were never particularly close, and we have become less close since then. We have no particular animosity towards each other, but neither do we regularly tend to speak with each other. We occupy different communities and largely have different friend groups. That's fine, sometimes it works out that way.

However, as a result of the lack of close contact with the original creator, much of my inclination to rigidly adhere to his original, personal view of Pozimi has faded. Frankly speaking, there are a lot of issues with between me and OG Pozimi that cause me to struggle to figure out ways to utilize him. He was largely a gag character, something like a big dumb elemental dragon thing that didn't talk, and bumbled around accidentally causing havoc by rolling in the street and chewing on cars, or freezing a lake unexpectedly. I believe the original idea was something Tirrel made to express his (possibly facetious) hatred of winter.

This is all fine if you are the sort of person who likes macro shenanigans (which Tirrel does, so it made sense), but for me, having a character who is just a big dumb force of nature simply isn't particularly enthralling as a concept. The inability to talk or interact with normal people in a fashion that wasn't just 'is big and causes chaos like a silly animal' has been the biggest sticking point for me.

So I've thought about what to do with Pozimi for a long time now, and I think I'm going to do away with that aesthetic. Instead of being (only) a silly winter catastrophe, I want to make him more of a primal force, like an ancient elemental that only barely exists on the same realm as non-Pozimi entities. I probably won't change too much about Pozimi's physical appearance (though I really want to add more ice spikes, at least), but he's going to become more 'unfathomable ancient winter entity that doth not comprehend mortal affairs (but occasionally tries, with mixed results)'. Hopefully, this new concept can drive interactions I will enjoy and let me do more with him.
