I've been around for awhile and attended a few cons. I've also met/lost a few friends and picked up a bit of art along the way. I guess you could call my time in the fandom an 'adventure' of sorts.
Don't expect my journal to update often.. I just go by the motto: "No news is good news." And usually if I feel something is important (or funny) enough, I'll post a journal on it.

Another year older, and I'm still feeling rather unaccomplished. Been gradually saving up for a full roof replacement these last few months, hitting the gym pretty damn hard and making some significant increases. But yet, I still feel like I'm lacking something. I guess I'm just feeling especially lonely since my best friend moved back to where we grew up (Albuquerque, NM) and he's left me to keep an eye on his mom, whom I've designated "Mom two." (I mean I've been a friend of his family for thirty years) Her, along with my own mother each have their own little stressors I have to deal with alongside work and keeping my house maintained.
I'm still keeping it together, but with most of my friends now long distance, busy with married life or just kinda falling out of contact.. it's tough to just push on without much of a support net. But as said best friend's uncle always says. "It is what it is."
