Hello there! I'm Ragtatter, and I live in Ohio with my pet fox, Gizmo. Gizmo is a North American Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes fulva). He was born in captivity, and purchased legally from a breeder. Because he was the runt of the litter, his mother rejected him, and the breeder pulled him out and bottle-fed him right from the start. He is completely tame, and completely socialized to people.
Foxes would not make good pets for most people, and you should do a LOT of research before you even consider owning one.

Gizmo is now on Twitter!

For those of you who are interested in me and Gizmo's day-to-day minutiae, I've started a Twitter for us. Our screenname on there is, unsurprisingly, "GizmoTheFox".
It's mostly about Gizmo, but I'll also throw in little tidbits here and there about what's going on with me (Like a few days ago, when I saw an American Kestrel sitting on a mailbox in my neighborhood. Falcons are cool.)
I'm happy to answer any quick questions you have about Gizmo over Twitter. Honestly, for things that only need short replies, it'll probably be the most efficient way of getting them.
Feel free to ask Gizmo questions too. (I'll be typing for him, of course. He's still a hunt-and-peck typist)
