Be The Change You Want To See

How To Not Take Any Responsibility For Your Own Actions 101:
The amount of mental gymnastics in the following post in order to escape responsibility are impressive to say the least!
>I don't how else to say it, but over the course of my life I have been conditioned to fear new things.
No one conditioned you to do anything, this is a vain attempt to find anyone to blame other than yourself for your own depression,
your own insecurities and your own lack of fulfillment. Perhaps if you blamed less, if you were a tad more sociable, less judgmental,
less angry towards the world that surrounds you, and took a little personal accountability for what you say and how you act, you would
never find yourself having to explain anything.
>More specifically, new interactions. Every time someone tries to get in touch, my mind immediately goes "Oh fuck, what horrible thing am I being accused of this time?".
Probably the usual, of disturbing people's peace, of being needlessly judgmental and insulting towards random people
>Every time I see a new job application, my mind thinks "So they're gonna get my resume and ghost me, right?"
No, in truth the application is in a huge pile of other applications and the employer is always going to choose the person they feel is best
suited for the job. It is not any employer's fault that you chose not to develop any marketable skills they can work with.
>every time I see a new article on anything I think "Oh great, what's openly trying to kill me this time".
No one wants to kill you. You repeat this over and over again in hopes of cheaply garnering people's sympathy. The problem is, the more
you do that, the more people feel like rolling their eyes. Maybe don't do the whole boy who cried wolf bullshit anymore?
>Let's face it, the world is a shitty place and people aren't making it better.
Correction, YOU aren't making it better. Be the change you want to see! But you're not contributing to the betterment of the world
by constantly bitching about it rather than trying to be positive and making a change for the better. Less complaining, more action.
>Everyone is looking for a fight over the shittiest thing.
Correction, YOU are looking for fights. Everywhere you go! You need to accept that people are allowed to have a different point of view from yourself,
and accept that you don't need to ram your own unwanted opinion down people's throats constantly!
>And hell, it's not even politics anymore, nowadays people demand you uncritically, unironically, without a shadow of a doubt shill things
>or else you're somehow a bad person. You say you don't like a guy for good reason, suddenly you're the problem and the guy you don't
>like can get away with murder.
Funny, cause you make everything political! You WANT to devolve every single interaction into a political one. No, people don't demand you
like what they like, they just don't want you negging their tastes constantly and don't want to listen to your angry, judgmental, unwanted, unwarranted,
uneducated, uninformed and unrealistic ranting. Say you don't agree and MOVE ON. You don't need to get into these pointless arguments! Your
problem is if people don't agree 100% with you instantly on any given topic, you lose your mind and start attacking people! STOP DOING THAT.
You are not the arbiter of taste, you are not the be-all end all judge on everything good and bad in the world. Everyone's got an opinion and theirs
is just as valid as yours. Accept that and you'll be a happier person in general!
>You say you don't like a movie or even never saw it, suddenly you're whatever buzzword happens to be popular this year because reasons.
Except you say something is bad without playing it. You always try to interject an opinion without the benefit of having tried the media you want
to denounce! Maybe don't do that.
>Why must everything be divisive?
You should ask yourself why YOU are being divisive! If you were a congenial and open minded person, this wouldn't happen!
Be the change you want to see.
>Can't we go back to an era when we could say "Hey remember that one game or movie or show? Man, I loved that, I wanna play it again"
>and the worst response we'd get is some weirdo trying to make some dumb joke about some dumb thing but we all downvote
>that guy and his reply is buried to the point that mods delete it?
The fact that this is where you WANT to be... a place where no one is allowed to crack a dumb joke without your permission,
a place that hides that which you don't want to read.... well guess what, you're already IN that Orwellian nightmare you want to
live in, and it SUCKS. Why would you want to censor those you disagree with? The fact that your 'happy place' is a place where no
one is allowed to disagree with you is why you're so miserable and why you are so lonely, and so disliked by so many!
>Do you even remember a time when we COULD do that? If you don't.... join the club, it all blurs together at a certain point.
Nah, I remember a time when everyone could say what they wanted and as long as it wasn't flaming/insulting, everything was okay to talk about.
Now everyone's gotta walk on eggshells just to avoid even accidentally saying something the general public might find objectionable to the point
of cancellation. YOU are a part of this nightmare we all live online. You contribute to that hostile, unfriendly environment by being the hostile,
unfriendly person you are. Start being actually friendly, and you will see an improvement in your life and that of those people who surround you!
>I just.... where did we go wrong? Why can't it go right?
Because you wont let it be right. You want to make a positive change? Stop being so bloody violent with your opinion. Be more accepting of
others and less judgy. Let those people who enjoy Palworld be happy with their purchase, for starters? Maybe don't jump down their throats looking
for negative attention? I issue you a challenge and you can take this however you like; I defy you to go a whole month without complaining. JUST ONE MONTH.
Talk only about thing you like for ONE MONTH. When you feel that nagging urge to bitch about something you DONT like, fight that urge and will
yourself to enjoy something you like instead. ONE MONTH, buddy. Just one!
I give you 2 days tops. That's the longest i've ever seen you go without bitching. But i'm rooting for your success if you do accept the positivity challenge!
Consider this a mic drop.
