We’ve lost our last dog (G)

Brought Shamus to the vet this morning. He was 15 1/2 but his appetite was gone and he had already lost 5 lbs (which is A LOT for a Shih Chin).
He was the last of our 4 dogs, and not having any of them left to greet me at the door after 20 years is not a pleasant feeling to say the least. It’s going to take a long while to adjust to this.
