Hey there, I'm gonna get to writing some pieces just as soon as the classwork starts to let up. I still need to figure out an avatar. I'm an anthro Grey Kangaroo with a jade and silver necklace, pants covered in celtic designs, and sometimes a t-shirt or flannel shirt. I'm Bi, but I don't RP with females, cause they're usually just alts. Anyway, I have some good story ideas and I can't wait to work on them.
I've won my share of writing and poetry contests, been a member of an improvisational comedy troupe, acted, been a member of a creative writing society, and I'm currently housed at college with fellow writers all in a few co-ed suites, living, working, and writing together. Be that as it may, I value criticism. Please be unsparing, as this will be my first attempt at zee porn.

STORY TIME!!!
~~~~~~
So, I was chatting with my good friend
hakijagu1 at 8:54 when suddenly the fire alarm starts going off. I regretfully tell him that I must go and sign off. With nothing more than my wallet, shoes (almost did not bring them), a bottle of milk (whole), half a package of Peperidge Farm Milano Mint Cookies, and the clothes on my back (boxers, jeans, plaid shirt, bandana) I went to the central lounge of out complex, as I usually do during such evacuations rather than standing outside like a looser in the freezing cold. Once I get there I find that my section of building is not the only one evacuated. There are five sections of our building, call them V, W, X, Y, and Z. V and W are separated from X, Y, and Z by a road (pedestrians and university service vehicles only) and connected by two second story walkways that the road passes under. I live in Z building. When I get to the central area, along with other students in various states of preparedness, some even wet and wrapped in towels. Some Z building residents say "black liquid that smells like smoke" flooding out of the recycling room ((Okay, I just now had to get up and talk with the police and investigators who came knocking at the door)) which sucks for me since I'm on the first floor.
I then find out that there are people in X building there as well! They seem to have had smoke coming from their recycling room, and whispers of someone using a fire extinguisher. Fire fighters start showing up and walking back and forth between the two buildings. At first an RA speaks up and tells us to quiet down and enjoy the performance of our universities A Cappella group about to hit the stage. Five minutes later, they are evacuating EVERYONE from the central space as well as from buildings V, W, and Y. Now everyone is outside, and the fire trucks are everywhere. After standing around in the cold and speculating on the situation, I realize that I need to find someplace warm until we are allowed to go back in the buildings. So I set off to the only place I can think to go,
obsidianrain125's room. Throughout my time here at college, starting with meeting her at a Halloween party last year, I have hung out with her. It's actually kind of funny, we realized last night that every time I have thrown up while here at college, has been somehow at a time when we were with one another. She's a wonderfully caring person and has really been there for me these past few days. She also boosted my confidence letting me know I vomit more peacefully than anyone else she has known XD! So, I get to her room, getting past the problem of not having a key card into the building by following on someone else's heals. She comes to the door, and I explain the situation. I share my cookies, she shares her soda. We video conference with
sofur and go on YouTube. We hang out for a long time, and by 11:00 I figure by now the buildings MUST be open. But NO! I run across someone I know from my building on the way out and find that in all likelihood we will not be allowed back in until the next day.
So I trot back up to her room, explain the situation, and now she shares of her Ramen Noodles and more soda, bless her. All in all it was a fantastic time getting to talk and laugh until 2:00 in the morning. I had a great time, but sleeping in the top bunk where all the warmth collects was not the greatest. I woke up at one point in the night having slept on my arm till it went numb, the arm was in my mouth and I had been slobbering on it.
In the morning we got up for classes, hoping all of this had somehow canceled them, but no such luck was to be had. There was an article with the official report on the incident. It LIED! It said that the evacuation only lasted 90 minutes. I talked with someone living in the same suite as me and the residents of V and W building were admitted at 11:30, Y building at 1:00, and X and Z buildings (Ground Zero) were not open again till 1:30 in the morning. Since the fires were in different buildings, but both in recycling rooms this is a clear case of ARSON!
I had such a good time last night that this next part is almost unimportant, but it still SUCKS! According to the investigators that came and asked me for any information I might have even as I wrote this Journal, several thousand dollars of damage have been done to our building. As it is, $500 (I think $500, I don't remember now) is charged to the building every time a fire alarm goes off requiring the Fire Department to Arrive. The expense is not so bad when divided among the residents, but it still sucks to be out by enough money to get a nice lunch. I don't know how much this is gonna cost, but anything in the thousands is going to REALLY SUCK even after being divided among the residents of Z building.
The report did not say which was the case in which room, but what happened was the sprinklers went off in one of the recycling rooms, and in the other a student extinguished the fire. I can only assume that since there was smoke in X building and smokey black water in Z building, that it was our building that suffered the "...minimal water damage..." That is costing us money. We can submit any anonymous tips online at a designated site. If I had some, I'd be sure to turn them right over cause I want them to get to the bottom of this and charge it to the *clears throat* responsible for my having to pay money.
So, aside from the prospect of paying money if they don't get to the bottom of this, the time I spent with
obsidianrain125 made it the best Valentine's Day of my life. I only wish I could have finished my conversation with the wonderful
hakijagu1 first. I will update as events unfold in the mystery.
To be Continued...
PS: To make up for the lack of finishing a Valentines Day Gift for
shello_lakoda I'm going to make it BETTER and hope that will make up for it being late.
Peace
