Terms of Service

I retain all rights entailed by copyright law to all of my commissioned, gifted, or created art. Commissioners are purchasing the created art for personal use only. Gifted art is only intended for personal use. Any received art from me (Riss Kitty) as the original artist can not be copied or redistributed for profit. Any received art is not to be edited or altered in any way other than cropping or resizing for personal use. Posting or sharing of created art is only permissible with artistic credit to me (Riss Kitty) as the original artist.

I retain the right to post and use any created art in my galleries on various online platforms and for advertising purposes. Any post, advertisement, or print will reference character ownership. If the character owner has strong objections to the created art referencing their character being posted, used in advertisements, or printed, they must contact me and express their concern. I retain the right to use the created art in the previously stated manners if the concern is not brought to my attention when originally posted, advertised, or printed.

I retain the right to retract created art from any commission or gift for any reason upon refund of paid amount. Any misuse of the created art or breach of terms of service will result in a retraction of the created art and/or a DMCA takedown notice.

I retain the right to deny service for any reason whether to an individual or for a specific art piece. If, as the artist, I feel uncomfortable at any point during the creation period with the content of commissioned pieces or commissioner, I will refuse service and refund payment as necessary.

The commissioner is paying for not only the completed art piece (digital or physical) but also the creator’s time to create the art piece. If at any time during the creation period the commissioner requests a refund, funds will be deducted from payment refund for the time dedicated. Once the creation period has been completed, a refund can not be requested or issued.

Upon the commencement of a commission and payment, the commissioner is accepting the current skill level of my art. Multiple sketch updates will be communicated between the commissioner and myself during the creation period. Partial or full payment will be due at the time of the finalized sketch. Any additional payment will be due before the finalized piece is sent.

“Created art” refers to any and all pieces created by me (Riss Kitty).
“Commissioner” refers to an individual requesting a commission.
“Creation period” refers to the time between the request for an art piece and the completion of the art piece.
