We managed to get the green card stuff taken care of in time (thank you so much everyone!! especially one <3) and i guess we just need to go do whatever a biometrics is now, but i think it'll all be ok. Still a bit scary considering the state of things here right now but what else can you do yanno? Idk.

Also i apologize for being a bit behind with some of the maw comms - this past week and a half has been rough.

I had to make the decision to put down my parrot and this past Tuesday i said goodbye to him.. He got cancer and unfortunately the vets we talked to didn't have good news about recovery or quality of life, and it was better to do it sooner rather than later, before it got to the point of him suffering. His beak started to grow crooked, which was manageable, but then a mass started to grow in one of his ears and he developed a head tilt, and despite him still eating and drinking, he was just getting more and more tired. He used to climb around and talk, but the last couple weeks he's just been sleeping on me.

He was a couple months shy of three years old, still just a baby considering they're supposed to live for thirty years. It just fucking sucks and i'm heartbroken.

I'm so tired of living in interesting times.
