So, this will be a very sensitive journal, forewarning. It is going to discuss my spiritual beliefs and how I came to them. A lot of it is going to be shortened and made vague. It's here for a bit of my perspective on the world.

Growing up in the US South, my family was very religious. My parents were divorced and one side was much more accepting than the other. The side that was not accepting were all verbally, physically, and emotionally abusive under the guise of using their religion to "correct" me. I was sent to a conversion therapy session over being in drama club, due to suspicions of being gay (turns out I am, but hadn't explored that part of my life when this all happened) which was a bit affronting to me. Eventually this treatment by half my family took me to a breaking point where I had an encounter with myself and a firearm. At the brink I decided to not end my existence and to push onward, finding myself through introspective and spiritual thought. This led me to my current beliefs and spirituality, which are as follows:

Everyone has something unexplained about them that allows them to experience more than other organisms, and this spark of a soul is near sacred
Everyone should have as much freedom as is reasonable and non-affronting to their others
I do not believe in a single god or true morality, but if I were to say I believe in anything, it is in the divine nature of happiness and love, and I hold that at the highest regard.
Everything that has happened up until this point was not determined by any outside force, but by all forces making all coincidences to forge who we are at any given moment
Do not disregard emotion to pure logic, a fact I only learned in that moment of depravity

This journal is not meant to offend anyone or cause distress, but simply give a look into my perspective on spirituality and a rough explanation of some of my past.
