For the record, I’m not entirely sure why I’m doing this. It’s not like anybody has even looked at this particular corner of the internet in years. Maybe in some way, I’m hoping there’s a Jay Gatsby out there, staring forlornly at my green light off in the distance. Maybe I just wish someone were watching, or that they cared enough to.

It’s been around 13-14 years since I made my first account on this website, I think. Since then, a LOT of things have changed. I’m finally out of my childhood home, something I’ve been yearning for since… well, since childhood. I’m engaged, with kids, and a car, and an apartment, and… I’m an adult. And on some days, I can accept that, but on days like today, I just wish I could turn back the clocks. Maybe that’s what this post is about. Wishing I could get a redo on the last decade and a half.

I still draw, here and there. Mostly just little doodles while I’m at work, but I did draw a portrait of a friend of mine, in honor of her passing. That’s probably the one thing I’ve drawn that I can honestly say I’m proud of. Nothing I’ve drawn would be appropriate to post here, since… none of it is furry, so. Don’t worry, you’re not missing out on much: I haven’t gotten much better at it.

One thing I HAVE gotten much better at, and wish to continue pursuing, is writing. I’ve written five full-length novels, and I’m currently working on a sixth. None of them published through traditional means, not yet at least. Part of me likes it that way. I like that I don’t have an editor or a publisher telling me what I can and can’t put on paper. I like that I have full creative control over what I do. I just… wish I had an audience. Maybe one day, I’ll try to get myself an agent, and go the traditional route. Until then, I’ll just keep writing.

I don’t know what else to write, really. I just… I guess if anybody’s ever wondered what happened to me, where I went, etc, there’s your answer. I got my life together, sort of. I’m alive. I’m okay.

And to all the friends (and enemies) I made on here back in the day? I hope you’re okay, too.
