Just wanted to give thanks to everyone who checked out my art over the last month! By chance September wound up being my busiest month IRL in a while- work/family obligations mostly, but doing SeptENMber and looking at all the art other people created for it was a fun distraction from all of that. Frankly I surprised myself by managing 29/30 days. There were a few days I did not expect to complete, yet the work magically came together as the day came to a close. I always struggle with "the process" of making art- many pieces that I was very pleased with at the end of their creation, well into making them I had little faith they were going to look halfway decent. Creating so many different pieces in a short amount of time has given me more confidence that (most of the time) things will work out okay if I keep going, so that's my pithy little takeaway from the challenge.
From here I have a few different projects I want to continue working on (in no particular order):
1) I started a new script featuring Fritz and Wes from "Just Visiting", which I'd like to finish and start drafting the art for. Based on what I have that'll probably be another 20-30 page comic.
2) Betty, Earl, and Scotty were all created for a story idea I had a while back which I'd intended to make a game from- last month I started fleshing that out as a Visual Novel, and expect I'll be back to that now that some time has freed up.
3) Recently I drafted a five page comic around Strangers in the Sauna- I'm not sure how much more I'll iterate on that. It's possible I'll just clean up what I have a bit and release it (it's sketchy but readable), or I may convince myself to actually finish the art. We'll see.
4) I still want to follow up on McBarkys, just haven't completely gotten my ideas assembled for a second arc yet. I do know it will probably focus on Lil.
Additionally, making some of the pieces for SeptENMber highlighted specific things I want to improve about my art, so I'm sure I'll be doing some non-comic work to study those.
All that to say I have a lot of different directions to go in! Hopefully some of them will be of interest to you. Thanks for sticking around!
